About the Digital HED

The online version of the Higher Education Directory is a powerful reference tool. The online version employs easy-to-use search, select and sort technology that allows the users to drill down into the data to quickly select just the information they need.

Users can find the information they need by clicking any combination of the following selection criteria:

State
City
Administrator Name
Manpower Code
Enrollment Range

Carnegie Code
Highest Offering
Accreditation
Public or Private
Profit or Non-profit

A list of all institutions that meet the selection criteria is displayed. Select a school by clicking on its name and all of the institution’s profile, accreditation, and administrator data is displayed in an easy to navigate format that will be familiar to our print version users.

The online user has access to interim updates from our online editors and can send an email to an individual administrator or view an institution’s web page with the click of a mouse. To try a full featured version of the Online HED free for two weeks, click here.
